Harpeth Wings, Tennessee Chapter H is a chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, a not-for-profit, non-religious, non-political motorcycle organization that meets monthly in Franklin, Tennessee. Gold Wing and other touring bike owners are all welcome at our meetings and events, whether you ride on 2, 3 or 4 wheels. Come visit us anytime.
As leaders we take pride in working with our members to foster "Fun, Safety and Knowledge" for a more enjoyable riding experience and to improve the public image of motorcycling. Come be a part of the FUN in one of the fastest growing motorcycle organizations in the world.
Harpeth Wings Meetings
We meet on the 4th Saturday of the month at Shoney’s, 1306 Murfreesboro Road (TN 96), Franklin. That's just west of I-65 at Exit 65. We eat breakfast starting at 9:00 a.m. followed by our meeting at 10:00 a.m., then we often enjoy a chapter ride. Newcomers are always welcome, even if you have some other bike. You need not be a member of GWRRA to attend, but we hope you will join us at some point.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 26th. The Tennessee Traveling plaque will be available then. Hope to see you there!
During October our COY decided to chase the COY plaque at the Chapter A2 (Maryville) meeting. Three other members joined us on the long ride east. We did not capture that plaque, however, decided to go for the TN Traveling plaque at Kingsport the next evening. We had a monster sized harvest moon shining on us as we rode to Johnson City for the night. The next day we visited the Gray Fossil Museum and Archeological Dig to view our Tennessee fossils of tapirs, crocodiles, red pands, shovel nosed elephants, flat-faced bears, saber toothed cats, humpless camels and more. The afternoon was devoted to riding "The Snake"! Fun and lots of fall color. We visited Chapter C that evening and won the TN Traveling plaque--a first for Chapter H!
